Student Writing Contest

Did you know that Canada is turning 150 years old in July? Well, Diana is hosting a writing contest for students in grades 4-6 that live in Clayton Park West who would like to participate by writing an essay or poem. The topic of your essay or poem should be:

TOPIC: Canada is celebrating its 150th birthday this year! If you were planning Canada’s birthday celebration in your community, how would you like to celebrate and why?

Contest Details:

All work must be original

Entries must be 250 words or less

Entries must be either an essay or a poem

Limit one entry per student

Entries must be typed or neatly hand written

 

Entries must be submitted to your teacher or our office by Friday, April 28, 2017

Prizes: There will be prizes for first and second place for each of the grades 4, 5 and 6 categories.  First place is a $40 Chapters gift certificate and second place is a $25 Chapters gift certificate.
